Finding my Own "Mommy Style"

Image
Everyone has their own opinions on just about everything with pregnancy, babies, parenting.. As a pregnant soon-to-be mom I first ran into this challenge when I was planning my birth and where to have my baby.  Understandably, I was really nervous to go through labor, and I wanted my experience (and of course the well-being of my baby) to be the best it could be. I asked a lot of friends and family members about their stories and where they had their babies. I learned some helpful things to think about - things like pros and cons of a small hospital vs. a large one. I enjoyed hearing about the special moments so many moms had with their little babies. But I also began to feel very overwhelmed with the weight of my choices - just the decision of which hospital to choose felt like this heavy weight on me. What if I picked the wrong one? Amazing Photos without Paying for a DSL

Image
I love taking pictures as much as the next mommy blogger but let's face it: I can't spend $500+ on a DSL camera. I did my research and found some camera lenses that clip on to your android or iphone! I have been loving the photos I've taken. I have always loved stunning eye closeups, and though it was really hard to keep my baby's eye in focus as she moved and wobbled, it was worth it! I took so many photos the day my camera lenses arrived.  I just love these little fingers! All the cute little chub lines and tiny little fingernails.. I was so happy to capture her precious little hands in these photos. One of the best things about these lenses is that they are easy to use - I took an intro to photography class in middle school and I know how to use photoshop, but using these lenses was not hard. And these photos turned out amazing; no photoshop required! I shared them on Instagram @babycrazymom and people loved them. I've had some fun playing with the color balanc...

Adorable Baby Headbands for CHEAP!

Image
I am a sucker for cute headbands and all things baby! But I can't afford everything I see. I recently found the JACKPOT of Baby clips and headbands on Amazon. One of the first tips I got for baby headbands was to buy headbands and flower or bow clips separately, so that as your baby's head grows you can still use all the flowers and bow clips you bought, and switch to larger headbands. I've really liked the flexibility, and also had fun with using multiple flower clips together, especially white or cream with a colored one. Now, I am a sucker for the cute hairclip and headband sets where you get 3 for $8 or 5 for $10. It sounds like a pretty decent deal.... But, I recently learned that you can buy a large package of these flower clips, essentially getting them for $0.54 cents a clip! I bought these same types of flowers 3 for $5 at Target. (At this price, that would have been like $1.60). It's one of the best-kept secrets of Amazon, I swear.    inSowni 2" Alliga...
